About Lisa
Since I got my first computer (running Windows ‘95), I’ve been creating content. Back then, it was a Microsoft Word-based newsletter about my neighbourhood; these days it’s omnichannel content for international brands.
I grew up with the internet. In fact, my childhood home got its first dial-up connection the same year Google was founded. Since then, like many millennials, I’ve socialised, shared, learned, worked and played online. The internet has changed over the years, but then again, so have I.
The history of me
I'm a freelance content manager and strategist working with brands across the UK, Europe, USA, and beyond.
I combine editorial strategy, SEO best practices, and plain old common sense to help brands get more out of their content. My clients range from global tech companies to local high-street businesses.
I hold a First Class degree in Film Studies from the University of Hull, where I became fascinated by how audiences respond to the stories around them. That same curiosity drives my work today: What do people need? What are they searching for? And how do we reach them with something that feels genuinely useful?
My experience
I’ve built content teams from the ground up, managed agencies, and stepped in as a one-person content department. These days, I work remotely with businesses of all sizes — including AI-focused startups like Zencoder, international brands like Proton, and independent hyper-local businesses. For all of them, I’ve helped shape content strategies and create content that earns attention.
While I’ve specialised in tech content in recent years, I’ve also worked on content strategy and implementation for fashion ecommerce, education, construction, digital publishing, and adult services. (Yes, it was interesting.)
What next?
I'm an AI optimist. I use new tools to make content more efficient and insightful, but I'm equally focused on avoiding the pitfalls of AI content — the SEO sludge, the sameness, the filler — that are slowly enshittifying the internet. My job is to help you cut through the noise, not add to it.
Whether you're launching something new or sorting through a content backlog, I bring structure, clarity, and a strategy designed to meet your audience where they are.
What I’m doing now
I’m currently focused full-time on freelance content management, helping brands navigate content strategy in the rapidly evolving AI era. I keep a close eye on how AI is reshaping content creation and affecting SEO, and implement the latest best practices in my work.
I also help my clients to integrate AI and automation tools into their workflows to become more efficient and effective while keeping their content fresh, original, and expert-led.
Most recently, I led an international content team at SOAX, where I helped communicate complex AI-first products and data scraping tools to a global developer audience.
I’m also one half of Lemons & Sevens, a gambling and casino blog designed to empower players to make smart choices and enjoy responsible gaming. So if you want tips on how to beat the house (or at least lose less) that is the place to start.
